I think today would have been a great day to stay home and hibernate. Ever since I woke up today it has been one stressing thing after another. And I feel that I am super close to my breaking point and it is not even noon. Waiting on the Doctor Office to call back always makes me a bit more nervous when it takes them hours, yes I know they are super busy and that is probably the reason but I still find my mind wandering about.
Wish I could curl up under my desk and take a nap that may relieve some stress but don't think that would be a good idea then work would pile up more than it already has. I have come to the realization that I can no longer research copy and type 12 files a day my body just wont let me and its a struggle to do 6 in one day and still wears me thin by 5. Just keep telling myself only a couple more weeks then the baby will be here and then I can return to work and feel normal again.
So maybe this afternoon will go by smoothly and that I wont have any more trips to Jeff City for appointments or blood work and I can get back in to my normal routine.

Wednesday's suprise
I had a great surprise in store for me Wednesday night and it truly was a total surprise. I went to go pick up Blake at Connie, Dwayne and April's house, nothing unusual about that they often want him for an evening of spoiling. So when I showed up I found a surprise baby shower waiting for me!!! I wish Kenny would have told me to dress nicer but that was ok.
We got lots of nice things for the baby and Blake even got a shirt which he was excited about and had to wear to school today. Blake got to go looking for arrowheads and came back with a whole pocket full and was way more interested in those than helping me open gifts.
If I can figure out how to post pictures I will (I haven't seen the pictures yet so I hope I look halfway presentable in them)
I had debated on and off this whole pregnancy about having a shower this time, with Blake's pregnancy I planned, decorated sent out invites etc and it was very tiring and time consuming. This time with all that had been going on the busy summer we were having I knew that it probably wasn't possible for me to go at it alone and I had opted for maybe having a get together once the baby arrived so that everyone could meet the baby. In which we may still do have to see how everything with delivery goes. So I was very happy surprised and thankful that Connie and April put the shower together and hosted it for me.
One funny thing was that my Grandma said that she was glad she didn't go with me to my Doctor Appointment on Tuesday because she would have let it slip about the shower apparently my mom hadn't told her that it was a sup rise but that's Grandma for you.

The baby's name!!!
We have finally decided on a name for the baby! It took us this whole pregnancy of pondering and thinking. I would like a name but Kenny wouldn't then he would pick one and I wouldn't like it. Then he would pick names that he knew we'd never use but just had to give me a hard time with such as John Henry, George Arthur, I think he even threw in a Wilbur.
We narrowed it down to two names a couple weeks ago: Kyle Steven, Curtis Steven, or Nathan Steven. Well I liked Nathan and Curtis but didn't want to use Kyle. He liked Curtis but one of his friends from High School is the same name but spelled Kurtis. So we decided on Nathan, which he also went to school and was friends with a Nathan but guess since we rarely see him he liked it better?? Who knows how men's brains function at times.
I was so glad to finally have a name picked out and ready, we had Blake Austin picked well before my 20 week ultrasound to know we were having a boy. Back then Kenny was dead set on if it was a girl it would be Harleigh which I never really liked.
Blake says he likes his baby brother's name but still wants to call it turd head ha glad we didn't let him name the baby!!!

Update on Doctors Appointments
Well as of today I am 34 weeks yay!!! I am so glad that I am on the downhill side of this long 9 months. I had two doctor appointments on Tuesday and both went well. The doctors agree that a scheduled c-section is the most feasible way to go for delivery now all I need is a date. I am curious to see if she will let me pick a date because I have a couple in mind that I would like.
As of September I will get to see both doctors weekly until birth, and with Blake's pregnancy I think I only had 2 or 3 weekly visits since he was 9 days early. So maybe this time will be just the same. The one good thing is both doctors work really well together and I get to schedule all my appointments on the same days so I only have to make one weekly trip in that direction.
Next Tuesday they will do measurements on the baby's head, femur and abdomen to get a weight. Two weeks ago he was 4 pounds 1 ounce so I am curious to see how much he has gained, because I have not gained weight since August 4th.
If I could figure out how to scan the ultrasound pictures on the copier/scanner here at work I would post a couple of his pictures.

Baby
Well finally on Sunday I had enough energy to tackle major cleaning and got Kenny to help move Blake's furniture around so we could make room for baby!!! We have the bed in parts laying up against the wall but I am ok with that I am just happy it has a spot and its all at our house ready to assemble.
I have been buying diapers clothes etc. for the last few weeks have all the clothes washed and sorted in to the appropriate drawers ready to use bought the carseat last week. Just need to finish washing the covers to the bouncy seat and swing and I think finally we will be ready for when ever this little boy shows up.
Blake is excited to have a baby brother, I even found him a shirt on clearance at Target that says I'm a Big Brother he wants to wear it now but I told him he could as soon as the baby arrived.
I also realized last night that I need to pack my hospital bag and pack a bag for Blake and Kenny to keep in the car since time is close, Kenny thinks I am crazy for wanting to do so now but it will save him from having to figure out what I want or need later. Plus I know there is always a chance that I will go in for a normal appointment and they will say sorry you aren't going home its time. I have been at the Dr. office in Columbia and have seen that happen 3 times at least to people who came in for nomal appt. to find out it was time. I like being prepared and ready.
So three more weeks I will be 36 weeks and well in to a safe zone if baby comes, maybe then my mind will ease up on thinking all the what if's.

Doctor Appointments
Well its been awhile since I posted last. Work has been busy and stressful but I have to find a way not to stress because its definitely not good on me or the baby. But its also easier said than done.
Last week I had two appointments on Tuesday and I was rushed getting to Columbia made it there just in time and had a good appointment. It took them forever to get him to move enough on the ultrasound to complete all the tests they were doing. Then on the non stress test he wasn't active so they had to use some zapper noise thing to make him move around to get the accelerations and decelerations of his heart rate they were needing to see. Then I rushed back to Jeff City to the next appointment. My blood pressure was low which shocked me since I had been rushing all day and stressed but the urine test showed a trace amount of protein which she said was very normal but I wasn't convinced since all pregnancy I had never had it show up and I made her look thru the chart when I was pregnant with Blake and it never showed up then. Well my doctor had a student doctor with her which is always not fun so I didn't get to talk to her as much as I had wanted and my favorite nurse was off that day.
On to this weeks appointment in Columbia. First off I had to take Blake and my Grandma with me luckily Blake was in a good mood for the 2 hour drive. We had to wait a little longer than normal to go back for ultrasound so he got to see the ultrasound then he and my Grandma went to the waiting room and hallway while I did the non stress test and spoke with the doctor. Ultrasound and non stress test were good. Talked to doctor told him about my urine showing a trace amount of protein and he wanted to check my blood pressure and urine just to see if it had changed. So off I went to another room the nurse took pressure and it was up higher than it had been a week ago and I still had trace amounts of protein. He said not to worry just yet (ha I have been worried entire pregnancy don't think it will change now)
So I took my blood pressure at work on Tuesday and the top and bottom numbers were running higher than they had been so I started taking the medicine again that my Dr gave me earlier in pregnancy when it was up. So yesterday the top number was normal to low range and the bottom number stayed up, I called my doctors nurse who told me to rest on my left side for two hours then take it again. Lucky for me our office used to be apartments on one half of the upstairs and so it has little rooms well my boss has a couch up there in one of them that she got rid of but didn't want to throw away so I took a magazine went up there and rested. Well it only got my number down by 5.
Today I checked it when I got to work before I did anything other than walk from car to office and the top number is fine but the bottom number is still on the high side so at 9 I will call her back and report in and see what she has to say. I know she mentioned yesterday that she'd probably have me come to Jeff to Labor and Delivery monitor me for a bit and do some blood work to check kidneys liver etc. Not exactly looking forward to the drive for the second time in a week but it would ease my mind to know if there is any more protein and get to know how my blood work is.

Nervous
I am so nervous that we won't have everything bought and ready before the baby arrives in 5-7 weeks. Seems like the list is never ending and there isn't enough hours in the day. Maybe if I was better at organizing I wouldn't feel so overwhelmed.
I did make a little progress over the weekend I went thru all the clothes we have accumulated sorted them by size and type and counted everything to be sure we had enough (seems silly but it made me feel like something was done)
Today I went to Kmart to buy a storage tote for Blakes clothes that are too small and came across some bottles that were on sale and just happend to be the ones I had been looking at for the last few weeks but didn't want to pay the price they were asking. Its amazing how the little things can make you feel better.
Tomorrow is my next weekly appintment with the specialist in Columbia and then my 2 week appointment with my OB Dr in Jeff City and I have my fingers crossed all goes well. The past few days the baby hasn't moved near as much as it used to and I have been having tons of contractions and pains.
I will update tomorrow with what the doctors have to say.
