Hard to believe that its 2016 already seems like it was just the start of 2015.... I had so many changes and new things happen in the last half of last year made time fly. I need to do a post about Christmas but haven't uploaded the pics from my phone to computer yet so that will have to wait.
I didn't do a post last year for goals I wanted to accomplish heck I haven't seemed to be very consistent with blogging lately.
So this year I want to set some goals and things I want to achieve this year:
1- Spend more time with my Grandma I don't know how many more years I will get with her granted she's in good health lives on her own still drives and loves having the boys come over in the evening after we get home. But I also know she's aging and I want to get in every last memory I can for me and the boys.
2- Do more fun things with the kids I have done so much better the last half of last year and want to continue this.
3- Get back in to working out more regularly I refuse to set a goal of x amount of miles or weight on the scale just be more regular with working out.
4- Pick a race and train for it with Lesley and do the race together in some state other than Missouri. Excited she is moving back from Hawaii and we will be in driving distance and same time zone so we can each train and then run the race together.
5- Eat healthier and take care of me. Being sick since before Halloween has taken a toll on me and I will be so glad to be over it and have my energy and stamina back.
Not a lot of goals but doable ones and ones that won't stress me trying to make sure I achieve and don't fail.
Changing jobs in July was the best, scariest and exciting thing I had done in a long time. Took a lot of courage but was by far the best thing. No more stress or days where I am broke out in hives from stress by 10 am. Getting the part time job at the bank has been awesome never had I worked anywhere that cared about the employees where people work together not against each other. Love learning the other side of what I had one at my old office job the last 12 years.
This year I want to continue to grow in my jobs with EMS, Fire and the bank find courage to step out of my comfort zone more and try new things scary or not.
In November I completely walked away from the Vichy fire department as fire fighter and as the board secretary instantly was a huge weight lifted. I will miss the people but I knew it was time. I love love being on St. James Fire Dept have a great group of people love learning and doing new things.
