I can't believe that today Nathan is 6 months old! I have attached a picture its not from today but it was taken a couple days ago. I will take some of him tonight. He is still getting up 3-4 times a night to eat even though he eats several bottles a day and baby food. In the past week he has learned to crawl backwards and is getting pretty darn good at it. He loves to sit up with nothing around him guess they know that its something new and fun.
It sure doesn't seem like he should be 6 months old already! I bet that by Memorial Weekend he will be walking or trying to at least.

The boys visit with their Great Great Grandma
Here are two of the picutres from the day that I took the boys to go see their Great Great Grandma. For being over 90 she is still in sound mind and gets around fair. She doesn't have any major health problems just those that come with getting older. She really enjoyed the visit, as it was her fist time to see Nathan.
Thoughts from the past
One of my closest friends is getting married in a few weeks and it has got me to thinking about my wedding 6 years ago (hard to believe its been 6 years) I remember being super stressed and working 6 days a week. I worked at a car dealership and we picked the month that had 5 weeks in it because I knew I couldn’t get married on the first or last weekend of a month because it was always hectic with month end stuff. Now that I think about it I was pretty dumb to let my job interfere with my wedding date. But none the les it did and I picked August 23rd, 2003. I planned my wedding with a co worker on our lunch breaks. She went with me the day I picked my dress out (and yes I did pick my dress on my lunch hour) I tried on 3 and knew the first one was the one.
Looking back yes I missed out on getting to spend tons of time flipping thru books and trying on hundreds of dresses but I didn’t have time off to do that so I just made the best of what time I had. My co worker was a great friend and like a mom to me I am very grateful for all that she did and for keeping me sane. Do I regret not having my mom or my family with me while trying on dresses…. No because my mom is not a shopper and probably wouldn’t have willingly went with me. But she did love my dress and was happy to give me money towards it so it all worked out.
My wedding day was a blur I had a maid of honor and one bridesmaid. We got up early and spent the day getting our hair done and of course had to eat at our favorite place Maid Rite after our hair was done before we went to the church to get ready. In my mind I had pictured having a nice luxury day getting ready doing my makeup etc but in reality it was jam packed super busy, but with all the hustle and bustle my mind didn’t have time to be nervous. My bridesmaid was more nervous than me I was just ready to be married. My mom had a fit that we would leave the church on four wheelers to head to the reception. Our whole wedding party would ride on them and it made for a great memory.
The actual ceremony was very nice our small church was packed full of friends and family. The ring bearer was 3 and his dad was groomsman and his mom was a bridesmaid so he ran back and forth between them and it was super cute. At one point he sat on the train of my dress and unfortunately no one got a picture of that but it was super cute. We had cake and punch in the basement of the church and then headed to our reception at my husbands grandma’s where we had a huge fish fry.
The entire day and night was great we had lots of fun and there had never been so many people at Mable’s at one time we had cars parked everywhere and there were so many people I couldn’t remember who I had said hello to and who I hadn’t. The entire wedding party stayed at our house so they wouldn’t have to drive home we woke up the next morning and fixed a huge breakfast ate and then we headed to Branson for a couple days.
I have lots of great memories from our wedding and we received lots of great gifts but I got one card and one gift that really meant a lot to me. A good friend got us a beautiful crystal picture frame, one that I had admired for quite some time but never told anyone I liked it due to the price. The card that was attached with it was also very special to me and it’s a card that I will keep forever.
I can only hope that my friend has an amazing wedding and can look back years from now and have great memories and special gifts that she will cherish for an ever, and I am very glad to get to be a part of her celebration and the start of a new chapter in her life.
Here is a picure from our wedding day, its not real good since its scanned in.

First Outdoor workout of 2010!!
I know spring must be close! I was able to leave work at noon and go to Green Acres park and actually get to walk/jog outdoors! Due to the cruddy weather and the rain I wasn't able to go as far as I had planned but I still managed to get in 3/4 mile before the drizzle became rain.
I forgot how nice it was to get out of the office to walk and how great you feel after (even tho my legs are still saying hello its been awhile take it easy). I even figured out a way to get in a mile walk/jog and tan and still have time to come back to work and eat my lunch.
Just wanted to share my excitment for the day.

New house
I think taht finaly things will come together for us. I am still not holding my breath or getting overly excited but we now have our very own house plans! We have our address and will be setting up a mailbox soon, my grandparents are having us a storage shed built.
Once we talk to the bank and break ground then I will feel like its really happening. We have picked out our appliances and I will continually check to see if they run any good deals or specials on them and if so we will buy them early :)
I have been thinking about paint colors and decorating but I know thats far off and I shouldn't worry about that yet but I do and its more fun than deciding what concrete to use and all that boring stuff :)
Well I will keep updating when I get more info to share!

Updates
So it has been quite some time since I last made a blog entry. Seems like there is never enough time in the day.
Here is a rundown on what has been going on:
A couple weeks ago I took the boys to go see their great great grandma, it was a good time and I do have pictures just haven’t uploaded them to my computer. Later that day we went to St. Louis to see Kenny’s grandma which was also a nice visit.
We have also got a set of house plans we like but need help with tweaking them to be what we want and need in a house. And we have picked where we want our house built at on our land.
My grandpa decided to release the restriction of no financing on 3 of our 25 acres they gave us a couple years ago so that we can start building and so Blake can start kindergarten in the fall. The biggest plus is that he will attend St. James and I can’t even express how happy I am about that.
Nathan has been growing like a weed, he has been teething which results in red fingers fussiness and chapped cheeks but I can feel the teeth there so it wont be long now. He has also mastered rolling over from front to back and then back to the front along with scooting across the floor to reach things he sees he wants.
Blake has been having a hard time adjusting to the new sitter, he likes it there and has fun. But it’s a change in our routine and something different and he has always had a hard time with change. But I know it will get better and I always get a text after I leave saying he quit crying right after I walked out. So I am not worried and usually when I get there to pick them up he isn’t ready to leave.
In a couple weeks I am taking my best friend to a concert in St. Louis and it will be our first trip to St. Louis alone (my first trip ever without Kenny) We want to do some shopping before heading to the Scott Trade Center but neither of us are city drivers or know where to go so wish me luck that we don’t get to lost.
A couple weeks after that is her bachelorette weekend and the other bridesmaid, me and the bride are getting our nails done then eating out somewhere nice and doing some shopping.
So I have been tanning on my lunch hour (yes I know its not good but I refuse to look like a ghost in a blue sleeveless knee length dress in April. I have also managed to lose 9 pounds since the first of Feb! I haven’t lost as many inches in the waist and hips as I would like but there is still time to work on that. Last Wednesday night Blake and I both got sick and while he was feeling well enough to go to school Friday I still wasn’t. Today is the first day that food has stayed in me. I still have a horrible stomach ache when I eat and when I don’t so I guess I must have really got the bug.
I have attached a couple pictures that I got to day from Blake’s school picture day. I will try to upload and post more current ones of Nathan soon.
