Well there is work to be done but my mind isn't wanting to concentrate on it so I thought I would take a break and blog.
Some random things about me that most of my readers may not know:
1-I am an only child by my mom and dad. They divorced when I was 7 and my dad was re married by the time I was 9 and they had a baby when I was 10. So I do have a half sister however we rarely talk and never were close.
2-I was always a daddy's girl growing up. My favorite memories are when we would go to the local skating rink every Saturday and Sunday and skate all day. Guess all that skating explains my muscular thighs and calves that I used to HATE.
3-Have been with my husband since 1998 I was only 15 when we started dating and we got married when I was 20. He wanted to do something cool for us when we left the church to head to the reception. So the entire wedding party rode four wheelers from the church the 2 miles to our reception! Was a pretty neat thing, my mom and grandma didn't like the idea though.
4-My friend Lesley and I are logging our miles ran or walked and seeing if we can walk halfway across the United States we each will have to log over 2000 miles. We are giving ourselves a year to accomplish this and it started August 1. I have a measly 10.5 miles....
5-I am terrified of change (change of job, change in paint color on walls, change in furniture arrangement)
6-Clowns creep me out, could be due to the fact that my childhood friend and I snuck the movie Seven out of his parents store and watched it. Even after they told us not to, we did the same with Edward Sisscorhands and the first Chucky movie. His little sister had nightmares for a long time.
7-Blake has been telling me that he wants to be a bullrider since the age of 2, he is now 6 and that is still his career of choice. Good thing his little girlfriend Beth wants to be a doctor he may need it!
8-Over the last year I have been able to reconnect with some fellow classmates and we have became good friends! And finding we have quite a bit in common now that we are moms to small children and school age children.
9-I went to Rolla Technical Center my junior and senior year of highschool and became a certified fire fighter.
10-Pink is my ultimate favorite color! I have a pink/black laptop bag, pink grill tongs, soon to have pink fire dept shirts and a pink phone case. What's strange is I used to despise pink as a kid and purple was always my color of choice!

Tuesday Thoughts
Some random things on a Tuesday morning...
Today 8 years ago I was sitting in the salon getting my hair done for my wedding. Hard to believe its already been 8 years!
Blake seems to love school and is reading a few books on his very own, he used to memorize them as I read them. But I caught him reading one out loud and listened by the door and knew which parts he never got memorized correctly. Well to my surprise he sounded them out and got them right!!!
Nathan has gotten quite the cute pouty face when you tell him no, makes it hard to keep a straight face. He can easily tell you what he wants and asks questions.
This weekend both boys are going for a visit their favorite people Mike and April. Not sure who is more excited April or Blake..... Blake is excited to turkey farm and asked me to be sure to pack his new turkey farming shirt so he can be just like Mike. I am sure Nathan will love going and kissing all of April's nice clean windows. Then Saturday night they are staying with Dwayne and Connie their other "grandparents" who don't spoil them one bit. My kids will probably never want to come back to boring old home after spending a weekend being in the spotlight. But I am thankful to have friends like this in our life that love our kids and want to spend quality time with them.
By the end of this week the wiring should be completed in our house and we will be ready for the insulation guys to come do their thing. Then ready for the drywallers to come and hang the drywall. Oh then my favorite part picking paint and painting. My least favorite part will be shopping for tile Kenny and I don't quite agree. But I figure since he got to pick the cabinets and color of them for our whole house I should get to pick the tile I want.
Last night we drove to Edgar Springs and picked up a huge above ground pool that we will put in our back yard next summer. Friends of ours have had it for years and are to the age that they just don't want to mess with it their kids and grandkids don't come visit enough to utilize having it up and running. I am sooo excited I had always wanted a big pool when I was a kid and we could never afford one. This time we lucked out we got the pool and all filters ladder etc for free all we have to get is a liner and the bottom ring!
Next week I will only work Monday and Tuesday then off until the following Tuesday. Wish it would be a nice relaxing time off but it will be busy and full of hard work but fun work. Wednesday I will do some errands and things that need done. Then Thursday-Saturday I will be helping at the Maries County Fair from around 1pm until at least midnight each night. We will get to see if my pink tongs hold out to the fast pace at the grill.

Where did the summer go????
In two weeks it will be Labor Day the "official end" of summer... So where the heck did summer go and summer vacation for the kids? Seems like school keeps starting earlier and earlier each year. The last two weeks before school started Blake wanted to pack as much time in with grandparents as he could. He spent time farming with my step dad and time riding his fourwheeler at my in laws. We went to the pool a few times and to six flags. Really wanted to get to the zoo but that will have to be a fall trip was way to hot most weekends to fight the crowds and heat.
Nathan will be two in just over a month and has learned and grown so much the last several weeks. Still haven't got him to say April but he can answer your questions and tell you what he wants. Oh and ask for his More "Mike" and Nona, and his Uncle Mark.
Seems that the next two months there is an auction every weekend which I guess is nice but stresses me at times trying to make sure I have a sitter. Thankfully we have an awesome friend who loves the kids and comes and spends the weekend with us and earns a little spending money while enjoying the boys.

First Grade
Hard to believe that school has already started and that Blake is in First Grade!!!! Here is a picture of him waiting for the bus on the first day.
He said he likes it but the math is way hard! He also don't know why he cant wear his new orange turkey farming shirt (its sleeveless) so that the kids will know he can farm.
The week before school started he went with my mom and step dad to a tractor sale and he had to try out and drive several tractors! He also recently drove the big john deere tractor all by him self. I am sure glad I found out after the fact, he also loves helping papa weed eat with the little weedeater. He's growing up way to fast.

Mini Vacation
I took last Thursday and Friday off work, our sitter was going to be out of town and Blake had a ticket for six flags he earned for reading.
So Thursday Blake, Kenny and I headed to Six Flags. We left Nathan with his Papa Kenny and Uncle Mark since he is to small to really enjoy the theme park.
We arrived just as they were getting ready to open and decided to ride all the rides before spending the day in the water park.
Blake loved riding Thunder River, Mine Train, Tidal Wave (which I opted out of so I could get us something to drink) and we rode Pandemonum. It was called the Tony Hawk ride last year, Kenny really liked that one he was like oh its nothing to exciting. Well he was wrong you spin around in circles while going around the roller costar ride.
We thought about taking Blake on some other rides but he was ready for the water park so off we went. We had a great time floating in Lazy River then letting Blake play in the kid area of the water park he loved going down the kid friendly slides and wanted to go down the bigger ones. We opted to wait another year before doing that. He is just now getting to where he likes going under water and we didn't want to scare him.
By 5pm he was wore out and ready to go home. I drove while Kenny and Blake slept most of the way back. Blake wanted to know when we could go back. I just wish those kind of parks weren't so darn expensive, pay to get in pay an arm and leg for any food you get. And of course all the stores that lure kids in and then you have the million questions why can't we buy this or play this game etc. So it will be a once a year thing and maybe when Nathan gets big enough we will try the season pass and pack our own food each trip.

Ask me this a few years back and I would said UNDER but now would rather be slightly over weight.

Two weeks of drinking water only....
A few weeks back my friend Ashley posted about the Blood Water Mission and she wanted to drink free water only for two weeks. Then donate the money she saved from not buying teas, coffees, bottled waters etc and donate it to the Mission. I decided to jump on board and do this challenge with her. Because hey who needs to drink sodas coffees teas etc. I knew I could survive two weeks with only water, or so I thought.
I made it thru the first week great no problems although the caffeine headache the first few days was horrible!! Then by the start of the second week I was so darn tired of water I ended up having a couple sugar free iced teas and one soda. I guess if you live somewhere where you only have water as an option you could do it for ever. But everywhere we turn there is sodas, coffees, iced coffee, cappuchino, teas, juices etc. They are so cheap and readily available to us by the end of the two weeks I gave her $20.00. I really couldn't believe that in two weeks I could spend close to $20.00 just on beverages! But it really opened my eyes to how lucky we are to have clean drinking water along with so many more drinks.

We have thrown the idea around about doing this again in the future maybe closer to the holidays. Not only was it for a good cause it was also good for your health and waistline.
